Things are moving fast...

Okay... I am excited to announce that my newest product CineMagic Movie Posters are in stores. Yep, I made the decision a few weeks ago to start wholesaling and today I just signed on our fourth store. It is a great feeling when someone goes from simply telling you how great your product is
to, "I want to sell them in my store." The reaction has been great by the vendors and I am expecting many more by summer's end, God willing.

You know you step out in faith and the Lord really honors it. I never anticipated that when I began creating photo collages 10 years ago that my work would be selling all over the region. It has been a long and sometimes frustrating road, but I am really beginning to see things bear fruit.

Currently, you can view CineMagic Movie posters at:

Weddings & Special Events by Angelique
7115 Broadway in Merrillville

The Flower Cart
145 Calumet Rd in Chesterton

I am placing displays the next week or so at:

RSVP a Fine Paperie
3907 Calumet Ave Ste 206, Valparaiso

Monarch: The Fresh Flower Shop
2350 Cline Ave in Schereville

If you are ever in one of these shops be sure to tell them you read this blog and what you think of this newest product of mine.

Thanks,

Rich

An Incredibly Cool New Product!

Okay, now that I have my first blog out of the way let's get down to the nitty gritty....ummmmm?

I have always loved the look and feel of movie posters since I was young. I loved how the poster could give you just enough insight into the movie that you just had to see it. Indiana Jones, Star Wars, etc. those movie posters caught my eye and never let go. Great movie posters tell a story, just enough to catch a glimpse of what awaits you. And isn't that true about life? We get to know just enough about someone and that can make us want to be their friend for life. Sometimes it is just one phrase on the poster that can make the movie irresistable.

I have just released my newest photo-artistic product. They are called CineMagic Personalized movie posters. In other words, your life, your special event becomes an authentic looking, feature film style poster. Complete with movie title, credits (important people in your life), critics review, tender phrases and more. They are as unique as they are dramatic.

To be honest, creating these one of a kind family heirlooms is incredibly fulfilling artistically. I grew up drawing and painting portraits, but the last 20 years has been devoted to graphic design. These posters allow me to combine my love and expertise of both mediums. If I could do these for free I would!!! But I can't...

Anyway, if you are looking for that perfect gift for that perfect occasion, wedding, anniversary etc. Give us a shout. Check out our website at www.legacyphotodesign.com or email us at rich@legacyphotodesign.com

Thanks...Rich (photos used in poster courtesy www.michellehamstra.com)

Wow I am blogging!

So here goes...I am a blogger. Let's see if its all that it is cracked up to be.

I am the owner of my own business which is Legacy Photo Design. That is my wife and I in the picture. Legacy's specialty is transforming your ordinary photos into beautiful works of art. I think people have been waiting for a service like mine for years, well ever since the beginning of photography I guess. The reason being is that photography ultimately boils down to what your photos look like when they are displayed in your home. Everyone wants their photos to look great hanging on the walls of their home or office. We buy the nicest frames, the coolest matboards, all in effort to make our photo look great. But what about the photo itself? What if you could transform the photo instead of everything around it. That is what we do here at Legacy. It is our goal at Legacy to take those seemingly ordinary photographs and turn them into extraordinary works of photographic art.

In searching for a word or phrase to describe what I do I came up with this; photo-artistic design. What sets my work apart is that it is not merely photography but it is photography and then some. Put it this way, if photography were a cake, photo-artistic design is the icing on the cake. With today's technological advances in digital photo editing, there are endless possibilities when it comes to your photos.

A Little about me.

I have been an artist all of my life. It has been a passion of mine since I was 3 years old. With great encouragement from my parents, I began to draw and draw and draw and draw. When I was fourteen my high school art teacher asked me to do a portrait for a friend of hers and paid me 25 bucks. My freelance career had begun. The funny thing is, I never really did well in art class. It was really boring for me. I needed to be free to let my creativity flow. It wasn't until I was a senior and I took an art class that there were no assignments. You just did what you wanted and turned it in a the end of the grading period. I remember my art teacher grading one of my pieces and giving me an A++. Finally, an A in art. I got an A for the year as well. There has been no escaping my talent. God made me an artist, I cannot help but create. I can be sitting at a restaurant and sit there and start making shapes out of my mashed potatoes!

I say these things because this is what I bring to my customers. Passion, perfection & creativity. You see, I don't look at my clients and say, "hey, there is someone I can make money off of," no, for me I see my customers as an avenue to channel my creative ablility and fulfill the passion I have for what I do.

Okay, I am usually long-winded so I will keep this first blog brief. Check out my site at www.legacyphotodesign.com. There are some unique ideas there. Thank you.

God Bless,
Rich
